It's fun to shop unexpected places for nursery decor. Urban Outfitters has some finds that would bring a playful touch to a baby room. 1. The colors in this Mixed Media Shag Rug would make a lovely palette for a girl's room. 2. The Capiz Faux Chandelier Pendant is pretty in pastels. 3. This Paper Lantern is only $6! 4. Pin pillow 5. Night Owl print to watch over baby during sleepy time.
I love when my DWR catalog arrives in the mail. It's not the most obvious place to shop for baby things, but some of their pieces would be perfect for a nursery. Whether you want to splurge on these (seriously) spendy items or shop for more affordable alternatives, it's a fun source of inspiration. 1. This Finn Juhl Pelican Chair looks like the perfect space to curl up with baby for storytime, and it comes in lots of delicious colors. 2. A bright yellow Angela Adams Betty Rug would be the perfect place for baby to start crawling. 3. How fun are these E27 Pendant Lights? 4. George Nelson's Fernando the Fish Clock makes me happy. 5. So does the Vitra Mini Eames Plywood Elephant. 6. I'm ready to cuddle with these Alpaca Wool Animals.
My friend just flew back from Ethiopia with 3 gorgeous girls. She adopted a set of 4-month-old triplets, and I'm ecstatic for her. She's waited for so long to become a mother. What a crazy, incredible journey ahead. Congrats, Mary! Her experience got me thinking about designing for multiples. I saw this nursery on belle maison, and it's bliss from every angle. Such a serene space. Favorite elements: the powder blue paint color, the sparkle accent wall, those chandeliers, and (my absolute favorite) the Thomas Pedersen's Stingray rocking chair. It's a stylish modern rocker that looks comfy and inviting.
