I don't usually post rooms that have been featured on Ohdeedoh. It's a popular spot and chances are you've already seen it. But, this was such an unexpected space that I wanted to share it here just in case you missed it. Mom is a photographer, and you can see the artistic editing eye in the design.
I'll be taking a blogging break until next week. Hope you get a chance to spend some time with friends and family. Photo Credit: Carrie Sandoval
I saw this little boy's room on Black Eiffel, and I think it's the perfect inspiration for a nursery. Favorite elements: Graphic rug, paint colors, bedding, mobile, window treatment. Pretty much everything.
The Holidays are all about giving. I recently came across Dwell with Dignity, a non-profit organization that creates beautiful living spaces for families struggling with homelessness and poverty. They believe that creating a nurturing home environment, one that includes good design and art, can inspire a standard of living that will carry-over to future generations. What an amazing idea. Please check out their website for more info on their mission. And consider donating if you are still looking for a way to spread some holiday cheer. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. A few years ago, eight interior designers were invited to renovate and design the Woodycrest House, an old Bronx apartment building, into furnished homes for families living with HIV/AIDS. These rooms were part of the project. Photos from Domino Mag:
