Now that little man has started Preschool, we suddenly have more invitations to birthday parties. It's nice to have a few go-to gifts ready for an invitation, and products from Odette Williams have made my list. I love these little apron sets:

The pear print from yesterday's post got me thinking about fun pear decor for little ones. Here are some of my favorites: 1) This pouf: 2) This print: 3) Silver decals : 4) Doll house: 5) This pillow: This Mer Mag project combines two awesome things about summer: outdoor play and more time for reading together. It's a perfect spot to get out of the sun and enjoy story time. It looks pretty adorable lit up at night too.

This might be the coolest use of an attic space I've ever seen. It has everything: sleeping space, play area, desk for studying. And it's all so bright and happy.
For all you crafty people, this DIY project doesn't look too hard, and it's a big payoff in the end.
Today I'm searching Pinterest, Houzz, and catalogs for playroom ideas, but I'm not finding much inspiration. This has definitely been the toughest room for me to design. My biggest hang up is storage. We stick to a minimalist philosophy when it comes to toys, but we still need to store and display what we have. I want a combination of closed and open storage. I want something that makes it easy for a little person to find a toy and then put it away when done. I want it to look nice. Nothing that I can find is exactly right. If I had to pick my favorite playroom out of all the images floating around out there, it would be this one. It's still not quite what I want, though. I'll update you if I have a breakthrough.
