With Halloween coming up this weekend, a nursery with orange accents is a fitting post. More on the blog.
Wallpaper is making a big comeback. Maria from Layers of Meaning is getting a start on her nursery, and the wallpaper accent wall is pretty fabulous. Here's the design board for the what's coming soon. Can't wait to see how it comes together over the next few weeks.
Etsy seller johnwgolden makes me smile. I picked a few of my favorites from his shop, but he has a huge variety. Check it out. There might be something you like.
Maybe it's because of Halloween, but I'm enjoying the color orange today.
These prints from creative thursday are wonderful. There are many colors to choose from, so you're sure to find something that works with your color scheme.
Karly from Design Crisis recently posted pictures of her nursery. There's something rock 'n roll about the space, but it's still sweet and completely baby appropriate. I love the neutral paint anchored with lots of black and accented with pops of bright color. So much fun. FYI: the paint color is Benjamin Moore Harbor Gray. Love it. Favorite elements: The rocker, the toy terrarium, all the black and yellow (especially the black dresser).
If you're looking for modern nursery furniture that's designed and manufactured in the US with emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility, check out ducduc. It's a New York based company that ships around the country. Even if you're not crazy about their selection or price, they have styled infant and youth rooms you can browse for design ideas.
I can't get enough of modern typography. These birth prints from mosieposies would look great hanging over a changing table.
I may have picked out the very first purchase for the nursery. I am obsessed with Iannone Design. They use eco-friendly materials like FSC plywoods, bamboo, sorghum, and cork with natural finishes to make gorgeous furniture. Their pieces also have a whimsy that is perfectly suited for a nursery. These dressers are my favorite: It helps that the crib we are considering is a wood/white laminate combo. I think the two together will be fabulous.
