We finally picked out a rug for the nursery. We purchased something inexpensive and indestructible from West Elm, similar to little man's Ikea rug (seen here and here). I love the look of vintage tribal rugs in nurseries, though. It would have been fun to splurge on one with a great pattern. Like one of these:
It's hard for me to narrow down my favorite things about this room. I love the wallpaper, the chair, the light, that gorgeous crib, the textiles, the layered rugs.
Phew. Friday is finally here. I'm grateful to have a few days to recharge. I'm sure my family is hoping that the weekend seriously readjusts the crappy attitude I've had all week. Sometimes I just need to stop, take a moment to be grateful for everything I have, and realize that even when life throws a few speed bumps in my way it's still a freaking wonderful life. This nursery incorporates many different shades of blue, and it works really well. The crib is perfection.
I co-hosted a baby shower brunch over the weekend, and it was all pink pink pink. I have to admit that I might be changing my opinion on the color these days. It used to be so not me, but I'm a convert, especially when it comes to these five things:
