I was eagerly anticipating the debut photos of Emily Henderson's home in Domino, and I wasn't disappointed. Every shot of her house inspires me. All that blue, her signature color, is fantastic. She picked my all-time favorite wallpaper for Charlie's room, and it looks amazing. Check out her blog for bonus pictures of her kitchen (she made some changes since the Domino shoot). I think the painted cabinets are an improvement.

I hope you have some fun plans for this long weekend. I have a couple of night call shifts, but I'm still planning on enjoying some outdoor time with the family. See you next week. via here
Tomorrow we leave for a Telluride camping trip, so I'll be gone from the blog for a few days. I wanted to do an outdoors-related post, and this gorgeous birthday party came to mind. I love planning and throwing parties, but I have to admit that little man has had the lamest birthdays ever. If I were going to summon the energy to throw him a killer celebration, this would be my inspiration. Maybe when he turns 5. He would love something like this:
This Mer Mag project combines two awesome things about summer: outdoor play and more time for reading together. It's a perfect spot to get out of the sun and enjoy story time. It looks pretty adorable lit up at night too.
We just got back from a 4-day camping trip. Little man had the time of his life hiking, kayaking, lounging in his first hammock, roasting marshmallows, and getting as dirty as possible. I'm sad our little trip is over, so here are a few things to take me back to the great outdoors: 1) This picture:
I love this story that I spotted in a recent Vogue. Chic couple (Miranda Brooks and her architect husband Bastien Halard) move from Manhattan to Brooklyn in search of more space for their two girls. He renovates this nineteenth-century row house with a budget that most of his clients spend on a bathroom. I love it all, especially the gorgeous outdoor space. I dream of a garden like this one.
It's my favorite season. This picture makes me think of crunchy leaves and hot apple cider and walks in the crisp evening air. via here
