Little man is growing up. We FINALLY switched his crib for a big boy bed over the weekend, and we had no problems. He went right to sleep and stayed there all night. All three nights. I'm not sure what we were so worried about.

I've officially hit the third trimester, so it's time to make some progress on the nursery. I posted some early inspiration boards, but we've made a few decisions on colors since then. Inspired by these rooms (all images from decor pad): ...the new color scheme is bright red, bright yellow and baby blue anchored by graphic black and white and a touch of gray. Something like this: Last week we found out that we're having a boy. We're both thrilled! I'm excited to start putting together some ideas for the nursery. We probably won't be able to get going on the project until late January or early February due to our schedules, so that should be plenty of time to come up with a plan. Here are a few (very early) inspiration boards to help us pick some colors. The carpet in the nursery (formerly the guest bedroom) will stay, and the wall color will probably be neutral. We already have the Room and Board dresser pictured below (different legs) that I think will be perfect for storage even though it's not kid furniture. The Oeuf crib is courtesy of my mother-in-law. I like the Eames Rocker, but I'm not sure the comfort level is best for the nursery. I've always loved the look of the Magis Puppy in a little boy's room, so I've shown one in each board. My husband likes the red best but isn't fond of the art work pictured. This will likely change dramatically over the next couple months, but I like to have something graphic in my hands when I'm working on a room. Do you have a favorite color scheme? |
