I'm a big fan of Amber Lewis from Amber Interiors. I check her blog regularly. She is a genius when it comes to mixing and matching textiles, and her homes always have that cool California vibe. Her latest work featured in Domaine lives up to all my expectations. I'm obsessed with the nursery.

I was eagerly anticipating the debut photos of Emily Henderson's home in Domino, and I wasn't disappointed. Every shot of her house inspires me. All that blue, her signature color, is fantastic. She picked my all-time favorite wallpaper for Charlie's room, and it looks amazing. Check out her blog for bonus pictures of her kitchen (she made some changes since the Domino shoot). I think the painted cabinets are an improvement.
I'm looking forward to having two boys. I hope my two little guys will grow up to be the best of friends. I saw these beautiful photos from Bleubird, and they highlight the special bond between siblings.
Josie Maran's Pennsylvania farm makes me want a place in the country. So bad. Click the story to read about her two outdoor home births.
This 1920s villa was remodeled by its owners to accommodate their new life with twins. Covetousness is a sin, but I covet this.
Time is flying this pregnancy. We wanted and tried for this baby for a long time, but now that the third trimester is right around the corner I can't help but feel a twinge of sadness that my relationship with my little man is going to undergo some major changes. I love this little person--his sweetness, his love of cuddling, his sensitivity and humor, his stubborn streak, his curiosity. These last three years with him have been a gift. I saw these pictures of a mom and her boy on Mother Mag and felt a big lump in my throat. I know expanding our family will be amazing and challenging, wonderful at times, tough at times. I hope I'm ready. For now, I'm just going to love this kiddo who has become the most important person in my world and make the most of our last months as just the two of us.
This has been one of those craptastic weeks that makes me want to crawl back in bed and hide until Friday. I need a little pick-me-up, and it's coming in the form of this beautiful home from the founder/owner/creative director of one of my favorite stores: Schoolhouse Electric. Hope it gives you a little boost of beauty if you need it.
The August/September issue of Adore Home is all about decor for family living. There's a ton of inspiration for nurseries, kid rooms, and family homes. Here are a few of my favorite pages:
What a great weekend! We've had a full house for the last few days, and I'm sad our guests are leaving today. It's the best part of having a bigger house--more room for friends to come and visit. Some of my favorite moments from the weekend took place around our dining table. Good food, good wine, and good company. Here are some beautiful dining rooms that work for families and for entertaining:
I'm already thinking about where we will go for our first vacation as a family of four. When it comes to planning a modern family vacation, you should check out Kid & Coe. It's a vacation rental website that provides "a carefully selected list of kid-friendly residences combined with curated insider guides. From child care essentials to coveted neighborhood locations, we offer everything you need to make a home away from home for the whole family." It's a brilliant idea with locations in the US and all over the world.
