I love this story that I spotted in a recent Vogue. Chic couple (Miranda Brooks and her architect husband Bastien Halard) move from Manhattan to Brooklyn in search of more space for their two girls. He renovates this nineteenth-century row house with a budget that most of his clients spend on a bathroom. I love it all, especially the gorgeous outdoor space. I dream of a garden like this one.

I've noticed that my little man is outgrowing his crib bedding. His feet stick out from his covers. It's time to get something new. These personalized blankets from Babydeken would make a special keepsake. 

There's something very special about these photos, this family, this home. You can feel the warmth. 

The new year always motivates me to start fresh with my home: clean, declutter, organize. I thought these shots from Weekday Carnival and her impeccable kids' rooms would help inspire us to get our homes in top shape. 

It's been a lovely holiday season. I promise to get back to regular blogging next week, but I want to take some time to get feedback from you. I've been amazed and humbled watching the number of visitors to my blog grow over the last 2-1/2 years. Unlike many bloggers, I have no intention of ever making a dime out of this space. I have a full-time job that I love, but it's fun to have a creative outlet to help keep my life balanced. While I enjoy posting every day, I'd like to find out how I can better tailor content to fit your interests.
